Customer Centers are open normal business hours. The lobbies will continue to have a 5-customer-at-a-time limit and per the Jackson Madison County Public Health Mandate, face coverings will be required to enter. Self-service kiosks are available 24/7 at both locations.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we understand that some of our customers are now facing challenging financial circumstances. If you are having difficulty paying your JEA utility bill by its due date, we want to help you make payment arrangements and refer you for any available assistance. Please click here for the Contact Us page and select "Payment Arrangements" topic in the "What is Your Question About" area.
Jackson Energy Authority’s fiber-to-the-home system (FTTH) called EPlus Broadband, is a glass fiber network delivering video, Internet and telephone services. It offers the clearest reception, fastest speeds and greatest reliability.
We refer to our system as a FTTH network. This means that our fiber starts with our equipment and travels directly to your home or business. This replaces the need for copper wires/cable previously used for telecommunications. Fiber allows much higher bandwidth transmission. It is often referred to as “future proof” because upgrading the endpoint equipment without changing the fiber, can increase bandwidth. As we upgrade to Gigabit architecture, we can offer faster speeds to you without changing the fiber that travels directly to your home or business.
